In this work, I explore the contained power and pure luminosity of the Atlantic Ocean. I focus my gaze on the foreground, where the tide spreads across the golden sand in a pattern of effervescent foam that contrasts with the strip of sea and the sun’s glare on the horizon. In this work, I seek to convey to the viewer the warmth, the sound of the surf, and the sense of serene vastness that the coastline conveys at high noon.
