Urban Landscape with Water

This series represents a transition within my career. I began by painting urban landscape, interested in architecture, light and the life of cities. Over time, water gained prominence in those compositions —the river, the canal, the sea— until it became as important an element as the city itself.

From that came this series, which travels through cities such as Venice, Seville, Santander, Ibiza, New York and Paris, and in which I explore the dialogue between water and architecture: their reflections, their reframings, the way one and the same place changes completely depending on how the water gives it back. This path, from the city to the water, is also the one that has led me to my current work.
