Submerged Series
Submerged Series explores the beauty of light and form from the depths of the water. An enveloping gaze that takes on the weightlessness of the human figure seen from below and the fascinating dance of the bubbles in the liquid mass, where silence and transparency are the true protagonists.
This series explores the observation of the human figure underwater. Starting from the direct study of submarine light, I investigate the weightlessness of the body and the optical distortion of the liquid medium, two elements that exist only in that environment and that interest me especially as a painter.
I thus move away from landscape to enter a more intimate and sensory territory, where the movement of the bubbles and the transparency of the water are as much protagonists as the figure itself. Silence and weightlessness are, for me, the essence of this series.
